The villa (8+2 sleeping accommodations) stands in panoramic position atop a hill covered with a small cypress wood and long rows of olive trees in Empoli countryside. In the neighbourhood of the estate there are the 12th-century Castello del Cotone and Villa del Loro, dating back to the 15th century. Situated just a few kilometres from Montelupo, the town of pottery, and from Vinci, Leonardo`s birthplace, the villa is an excellent starting point for trips to Florence, Pisa, Volterra and San Gimignano. The beaches in Versilia are within easy car reach as well. Recently renovated in the respect of the characteristics of Tuscan aristocratic residences, the building is surrounded by a wide Italian garden with the swimming pool; sunshades and sunloungers are at guests` disposal. Close to the villa there are some tennis courts, a five-a-side football field and a lake for sportfishing. Guests can hike or mountain bike on the gentle Tuscan hills along the numerous pathways surrounding the estate. The villa has an agreement with the most important restaurants in the area, where guests can taste the traditional dishes of the Tuscan cuisine.
Accommodation
The villa (4 double bedrooms + French size sofa bed and 3 bathrooms) spreads out over two floors. The ground floor composes of a large living room with fireplace and satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen provided with fridge, freezer, electrical and wood burning oven and dishwasher and 1 bathroom with shower. The first floor composes of large living room, 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower. The villa features also an attic commanding the surrounding countryside with French size sofa bed.
