Profile The Castle is situated in a splendid panoramic position, 500 m. above sea level near Gaiole in Chianti It has been built by the family Ricasoli Firidolfi in the 10th century, and it was part of a fortified system aimed at defending the territory of Florence against the raids of the republic of Siena. Nowadays Family Ricasoli Friridolfi still manages the estate on a direct basis is engaged in the production of extra virgin olive oil and Chianti Classico wine. In the months of September and October it gives its guests the chance of attending vintage activities. The house is located in the Castle south wing and can accomodate 7 people.
Accomodation The House is confortably furnished and it is dislocated on three levels. On the ground floor there are a kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there are a drawing room that opens into a terrace, sitting room, major bedroom, en suit bathroom with hydromassage and shower, restroom, a single bedroom, a double bedroom, a bathroom with bathtube. On the second floor there are a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower cubicle, a panoramic terrace-solarium from which you can enjoy a view reaching from Siena to Monte Amiata. The house is equipped with oven, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, TV colour, telephone, barbecue, heating. Outside there is a small garden terrace with a swimming-pool.
