Profile Every site in the Tuscan landscape speaks of ancient cultures. About 30 Km from Florence, Castelfiorentino`s castle, built on the ancient Via Francigena connecting France to Rome, is a leading example of many ancient influences. The castle`s history commences in 1210, when Counts Alberti di Certaldo built Caput aulae, the centre of Val d`Elsa`s court. Within this scenery, the barns part of the ancient court, represent the ideal location for people wishing to spend a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The 9 apartments ( situated in 4 farmhouses ) were recently renovated to include all modern appliances while maintaining the traditional Tuscan charm. Each apartment is equipped with independent heating system, wooden fireplace, satellite TV, and dishwasher. The Agritourism`s shared facilities include a large swimming pool (6x12 m), a garden, table tennis, barbecue, children recreational area and access to a shared washing machine. Castelfiorentino`s commercial farm stretches across 115 hectares, four of which are given to the production of wine and seven to the cultivation of olive trees. The commercial farm produces our own Chianti Putto called "Farm Castelfiorentino", a red wine made from the red grape, predominantly Sangiovese with a small percentage of Canaiola. Our Chianti Putto is extremely pleasant and smooth with the fruity bouquet of a young wine. Our "extra vergine" olive oil is a high quality product that is sweet tasting with an aroma of green apple. It is obtained by cold pressing our olives, which come from olive trees of the Correggiolo variety.

Farmhouse Villa Marcello The apartments ( Ciliegio, Fico, Noce and Pesco ) face hilly scenery including vineyards, olive trees and sunflowers. All apartments are equipped with independent heating system, wooden fireplace, satellite TV, dishwasher and independent private open space, with dining table and chairs. The apartments were carefully restored and elegantly furnished to maintain untouched the charm of their ancient Tuscan style. The carefully selected furniture was chosen to make you feel at home. The modern kitchens are fully equipped with all appliances, including refrigerators, freezers and dishwashers.
