Situated in dominant position atop a hillock in the neighbourhood of Pienza, San Quirico d`Orcia and Montalcino, the farmhouse (13+1 sleeping accommodations) is surrounded by the spectacular panorama of the Tuscan countryside, made of kilometres of meadows and pastures, whereas the silhouette of the Monte Amiata, an ancient inactive volcano, can be seen in the distance. In the garden, situated in panoramic position and commanding the surrounding gentle hills, there is a private swimming pool (4.30x9 m), at the guests` disposal. Despite being close to the house, the swimming pool is on a terrace situated below the building, so as to guarantee the privacy of those who want to relax in the sun. The guests can dispose of the gazebo, sunshades, sun loungers and deckchairs on the pool border. Possibility of using the barbecue and organising wonderful meals in the open air. At the guests` disposal: mountain bikes, ping-pong table and toys for children. Animals are welcome. The villa is the ideal accommodation not only for those who desire to have relaxing holidays in the silence of the Tuscan countryside and for those who love nature, who could grab the occasion for doing magnificent horse or bicycle rides in the neighbourhood, but also for those who want to discover the treasures of the Tuscan art: Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, Cortona, San Gimignano and Arezzo are all within easy car reach. A few kilometres from the farmhouse there are also the spas of Chianciano Terme and Rapolano Terme.
Accommodation
The farmhouse (6 bedrooms + 1 single sofa bed and 7 bathrooms) is divided into five apartments, sleeping 2 to 6 people. All the apartments are furnished in the typical Tuscan style and feature terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings. Each apartment has its own kitchen. The dishwasher and a big fridge are in the apartment Il Cipresso, along with the common living room. Two bathrooms are accessible to disabled people.
Apartment Il Biancospino Surface: 50 mē. Situated on the ground floor, it composes of kitchen, 1 triple bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment has also a small garden furnished with table and chairs. Apartment La Ginestra Surface: 50 mē. The apartment is on the ground floor and is composed of kitchen, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment commands the magnificent oat fields that surround the building. Apartment Il Girasole Surface: 80 mē. An external staircase leads to this apartment on the first floor, commanding Pienza, San Quirico d`Orcia and the Monte Amiata. The apartment composes of kitchen, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower. Apartment La Spiga Surface: 60 mē. The apartment is on the ground floor and is accessible to disabled people. It composes of kitchen, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower. The apartment is provided with a single sofa bed. Apartment Il Cipresso Surface: 50 mē. It is the common area and is composed of living room, kitchen and 1 bathroom. The apartment is accessible to disabled people and is provided with a dishwasher and a big fridge.
