Hidden away in one of the quietest villages in the Chianti hills, Dudda, in perfect Tuscan style, the complex of 4 houses has the advantage of merging the magnificent scenery in which it is immersed with the discretion and the vicinity of the most culturally important centres in Tuscany Siena Florence Pisa Greve in Chianti Castellina in Chianti San Gimignano e Monteriggioni. Being located within the Chianti Classico area, it is possible to taste the products that has made this area so famous, Chianti wine being the most obvious, but not overlooking Olive Oil, with it are prepared the simple but delicious dishes such as Ribollita (vegetable soup with bread), Bruschetta (Garlic bread with tomatoes) and Zuppa di Farro (a soup made with pulses).
Accommodation
The houses were built in 1998 to a very high standard in the traditional Tuscan style and therefore combine modern comfort with the regions traditional architectural heritage.
Each house has 7+2 sleeping accommodations.
On the ground floor you will find a large living area equipped with a comfortable double sofa-bed and armchairs, a compact kitchen divided from the dining area by a sliding door. From the dining room there is a covered patio with table and chairs for "al fresco" dining . A bathroom with a shower and a bedroom with bunk beds and third bed complete the ground floor.
On the first floor there are two double/twin bedrooms, and the bathroom complete with a bath and internal shower. The bedrooms are both very spacious, with polished wooden floors (the ground floor is paved in Terracotta), one overlooking the swimming pool at the rear, while the other has a fabulous view of "Monte San Michele", the highest peak within the Chianti area, and the surrounding vineyard ridden countryside.
Each house has it`s own private parking space, private garden with direct access to the swimming pool, central heating, a fully equipped kitchen including a large fridge/freezer, microwave and ample work surfaces. The swimmingpool, built in 2001, is 14 metres long by 7 metres wide and is 1.4 metres deep. In one corner there is a small jacuzzi with sufficient space for 4 people. At the other end of the swimmingpool there is a beautiful terrace, with a gazebo, having a wonderful view and ideal for a bit of sunbathing. In the office, adjacent to the swimming pool, there is an information book giving details of local festivals and places of interest to visit, while any other help or information which you require can be given. Every moment of a holiday is precious and for this reason they offer a booking service for restaurants, museums and galleries. For those with more energy there are horse riding stables nearby and they offer mountain bikes to hire.
