Empoli plain is a vast region in central Tuscany From a geographical point of view, Empoli plain corresponds to lower Valdelsa the valley of the Elsa river, which runs in the Arno river right between Empoli and San Miniato. The plain is divided into the municipalities of Fucecchio, Cerreto Guidi, Vinci, Capraia e Limite, Montelupo Fiorentino, Empoli, Montespertoli, Castelfiorentino, Montaione, Gambassi Terme and Certaldo.
