Situated about a kilometre from Cortona, which lies within foot reach, the villa (from 6 to 12 sleeping accommodations) is surrounded by olive groves and maquis and overlooks the whole Valdichiana; in the distance, the lake Trasimeno is to be seen. The complex is composed of three elegant late-19th-century buildings surrounded by a wide garden, where is the swimming pool, at guests` disposal. The manor house and the two dependances are completely independent buildings and have separate entrances. The warm colours of terracotta and chestnut wood characterise the carefully furnished bright and large rooms of the manor house. Numerous pathways wind around the domain for pleasant excursions on foot or by bike. In the neighbourhood there are a tennis club and riding stables. Provided with all modern comforts (satellite TV, Internet connexion, barbecue equipment, dishwasher, deep-freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board), the villa is an excellent starting point for trips to important Tuscan cities of art, such as Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Monterchi, Anghiari, Sansepolcro and Cittΰ di Castello. Possibility of organising excursions with guided visits to the Chianti district, Montalcino, Camaldoli, San Gimignano, Chiusi and Orvieto, wine and Tuscan food tasting and Tuscan cuisine and wine tasting classes. Accommodation
The manor house (6+2 beds - 3 double bedrooms + double sofa bed and 3 bathrooms) spreads out over two floors. On the ground floor there are the kitchen, a wide living room with fireplace and double sofa bed, scullery and 1 bathroom. On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one with bathtub). The villa has a panoramic terrace furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco, enjoying the wonderful view of Valdichiana and the lake Trasimeno.
The dependance Villa Serenella (2 beds - 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom) is composed of kitchen, large living/dining room, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower.
The dependance Limonaia (2 beds - 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom) composes of kitchen, large living/dining room, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower.
