Description

The unusual holiday accommodation is an ancient watch tower dating from the 6th century that stands at the centre of a 200-hectare estate situated near Talamone (Grosseto), in Maremma.

The estate borders the seaside and is the ideal accommodation for nature lovers, who can have long and relaxing walks in the huge park that surrounds the building, and for water-sports lovers. A pebble beach a few kilometres from the tower is easily reached by car, and numerous small creeks and bays are within walking distance.

Guests can also make use of the swimming pool, tennis courts and five-a-side football, volleyball and basketball pitches of a campsite less than 10 kilometres from the tower, and windsurf and kitesurf at the private beach of the campsite.

The tower affords a breathtaking view over Maremma hills and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago; Corsica can be seen in the distance on clear days.


The Outdoors

The tower is surrounded by a vast 200-hectare park that borders the seaside where deer and wild boars can be seen at dusk.

The tower is a four-storey building furnished in rustic and marine style that sleeps 5 guests in 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom and has 2 bathrooms.

On the ground floor is the dining room featuring a bar corner and a kitchenette.
The first floor consists of a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.
On the second floor are a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
The third floor composes of the living room, which affords a wonderful panoramic view of the sea and Maremma inland.


Facilities

The tower is equipped with working fireplace, fridge, freezer, TV set and private car parking space.
A maid service with linen change is available upon request.
Guests can take advantage of breakfast, lunch and dinner service at an holiday farm 2 kilometres from the tower.
A campsite about 7.5 kilometres from the estate offers a swimming pool, tennis courts, five-a-side football, volleyball and basketball pitches and archery facilities, as well as washing machines and tumble dryers.
Guests can kitesurf and windsurf at a beach about 9 kilometres from the property.
