Description

The castle stands between Livorno and Grosseto, just a few kilometres from the beaches of the Etruscan Coast, in Maremma. It is a "Residenza d`Epoca" (that is, historic manor house) dating back to the 16th century surrounded by a fully fenced 2,000-square-metre park, whose windows open onto a wide olive grove.

Food-and-wine tourism lovers can dedicate to wine tasting: in fact, the castle is situated in the area of production of some important Tuscan wines renowned all over the world. Those who want to relax and dedicate to their well-being can visit the nearby spas.
Cooking lessons are organized upon request for guests to learn how to cook the dishes of the traditional Tuscan cuisine, as well as guided tours to the major Tuscan cities of art, including Siena, Lucca, Florence, Volterra and Pisa.
A riding stable that organizes guided horseback tours in the neighbourhood, a golf club and a tennis club are in proximity to the castle.


The Outdoors

The castle is surrounded by a wide 2,000-square-metre garden.
A meadow with roses is furnished with settees and armchairs.
Left of the meadow, a patio is furnished with tables, chairs and sunshades for having meals al fresco.

At the bottom of the garden lie the private swimming pool /6x12 m; depth: 1.20-1.80 m) and the whirlpool corner. The pool side is furnished with deck chairs and sun loungers, and the swimming pool area is fenced. Next to the swimming pool is a changing room.


Accommodation

The castle sleeps up to 26 guests in 13 double bedrooms, and has 13 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.

The ground floor is dedicated to the living area, and composes of entry hall, a small living room, a living room with fireplace and bar, a living room with satellite TV, the dining room and a half bathroom.
Two staircases lead to the first floor, which consists in a living room with satellite TV and Internet point and seven double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.
On the mezzanine are two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.
A double bedroom with ensuite bathroom is in the mansard.
Another double bedroom with ensuite bathroom is in the tower of the castle.
Two more double bedrooms sharing a bathroom have an independent entry.

The castle is equipped with swimming pool, whirlpool corner, Internet connection, air conditioning, working fireplace, satellite TV, CD player, DVD player, video cassette recorder, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and private car parking space.
All of the bedrooms are provided with minibar, safe, radio alarm clock and hairdryer.
