Massa Carrara Historical Villas
In the province of Massa Carrara there is a villa designed by the famous architect Vincenzo Micheli, who worked especially in Florence but actually was born in Carrara: Micheli built Villa della Padula in Carrara by order of Bernardo Fabbricotti.
In Carrara there is also Villa Dervillé, with its magnificent park and the cellars were a collection of archaeological finds of Roman origin is to be admired. Originally, they decorated the garden.
In Massa there is Villa La Richiostra, which for centuries belonged to the most important noble family of Massa, the Cybo Malaspina. The villa has a particularly scenographic park, with imposing long-trunked trees.
