Description

The castle (which has been declared "period residence") stands near Strada in Chianti 17 kilometres Florence and dominates a peaceful valley covered with woods and olive groves.

The imposing tower and the high walls date back to the 10th century, whereas the body of the castle, the arcades, the courtyard and the hanging lawn date back to the 13th century. In the 17th century the castle was embellished and the private chapel was added.

A wing of the castle and the tower have been provided with all equipment and services typical of any tourist accommodation facilities in the respect of the original monumental value of the building. Another wing is equipped for hosting ceremonies and meetings.

Thanks to its strategic geographic position, all major Tuscan tourist destinations are easily reached.

The castle accommodates up to 25 people in 8 double bedrooms.

Suite IMPERIALE (80 m² - 4+1 sleeping accommodations): it is on the ground floor and composes of living/dining room, 2 double bedrooms, large living room and 2 bathrooms. Wonderful vistas.

Bedroom GIUGGIOLO (80 m² - 2+2 sleeping accommodations): this bright bedroom is on the first floor and composes of bedroom/living room with fireplace and 1 bathroom. Wonderful vista on the valley.

Bedroom TORRE 1 (LECCIO) (55 m² - 2+2 sleeping accommodations): it is on the first floor and is divided into bedroom/living room and 1 bathroom. The bedroom features large windows.

Bedroom TORRE 2 (CAPPERO) (55 m² - 2+1 sleeping accommodations): this bright bedroom is on the second floor and consists in a bedroom/living room and 1 bathroom. The bedroom features also an ancient fireplace.

Bedroom TORRE 3 (BELVEDERE) (55 m² - 2+2 sleeping accommodations): it is on the third floor of the tower and is divided into a bedroom/living room and a bathroom. This romantic bedroom offers a spectacular panoramic vista of the neighbourhood.

The castle features a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room with a big fireplace. At guests` disposal: the private panoramic swimming pool. Services of any kind are in Strada in Chianti just a few kilometres from the castle.
