Built in the 14th century by order of a noble Florentine family and partially destroyed during the Second World War, the ancient villa has been renovated and restored to its original beauty.

In the elegant and refined atmosphere of the historic villa, with its park rich in century-old cypresses and the swimming pool, guests can have relaxing holidays in the utmost privacy.

Nevertheless the villa is just about 15 kilometres from Florence historical centre and other Tuscan historic cities, including Arezzo Siena and Pisa, are easily reached for pleasant one-day trips.

The villa stands in panoramic position atop a typical Tuscan hill and commands the surrounding valleys.

Guests can participate in cooking courses for learning to cook traditional Tuscan dishes and, in autumn, in the grape harvest.

Its elegance, size, atmosphere and geographical position make the villa the right location for weddings and other ceremonies.

Outside the villa are a large panoramic terrace, the swimming pool and a park with century-old cypresses.


Accommodation

The villa (600 square metres) accommodates 20 people in 9 double bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

The main door opens onto a large billiard room.
On the first floor are the kitchen, a living room and a dining room. On the same floor are also one single bedroom with external bathroom and two double-bedded rooms with ensuite bathroom.
The second floor is divided into two wings: in the right wing are six double bedrooms, five of which have an ensuite bathroom; the sixth has a private external bathroom. In the left wing are a single bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a double-bedded room with ensuite bathroom.

The villa is provided with swimming pool, car park, working fireplace, cot bed, dishwasher, washing machine, satellite TV, Internet connection, DVD player, telephone, electric oven, hair dryer.
Four bicycles are at guests` disposal.
The villa is completely fenced.

A travel agency selling train tickets is in Rignano sull`Arno.
In S. Donato in Collina (3 km) are also a butchery, a grocer`s, a newsagent`s and a greengrocer`s.
Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport is 25 kilometres from the villa; Pisa Galileo Galilei airport is about 100 kilometres from the villa.
