Description
The apartment is part of a historic villa situated along the Arno River, just a few hundred metres from Ponte Vecchio, in the Oltrarno district, in Florence historic centre.
The most important monuments in the district - the church of Santo Spirito; the church of Carmine, which houses the famous Brancacci Chapel with frescoes by Masaccio; the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens - are just a few hundred metres from the apartment. Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and the basilica of Santa Croce are within short walking distance, as well.
The district is also rich in restaurants and shops. A street market is held every morning in Piazza Santo Spirito.
The Outdoors
The apartment features a garden furnished for having meals in the open air and a panoramic balcony that overlooks the Arno River. Giotto's bell tower, Brunelleschi's dome and the tower by Arnolfo di Cambio that dominates Palazzo Vecchio are to be seen in the distance.

On the ground floor, which is accessed climbing seven steps, are a living room with a single sofa bed, a studio, two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
The first floor composes of kitchen, dining room and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor is also a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden, the Arno River and the monuments of Florence.

The check in and out were very efficient. The house is located in a quiet area two blocks up from the Ponte Vecchio overlooking a little park area and the Arno River. We enjoyed the extensive CD collection and the cozy living room area. High ceilings were a plus. Bedrooms were small but comfortable. Parking is a big problem in Florence and we had to park our car several blocks away. The street is closed at night to local traffic so could be a problem for people with difficulty walking. The only negatives were the musty smell in the house and no hot water a couple days. The house could also use a good cleaning especially out on the patio. We would definitely stay here again and thank you for the opportunity to live in your house for the week.
