The nice apartment is on the first floor of a small independent villa on the hills that surround Cortona, a town of Etruscan origins in the province of Arezzo.

Arezzo, the towns, of Valdichiana, Casentino, Valdarno and Valtiberina, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino and Florence are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day jaunts at the discovery of Tuscany's artistic heritage and food-and-wine excellences. Being set close to the border with Umbria, the villa is an excellent departure point for visiting many cities of art in central Italy. Lake Trasimeno is a few dozen kilometres from the property.
