The villa is located in the province of Arezzo, in Valdichiana, close to Cortona, a small town of Etruscan origin renowned for having given birth to the painter Luca Signorelli and for being the set for the book "Under the Tuscan sun" by Frances Mayes. In the vicinity of the villa are also the hermitage Le Celle, where San Francis of Assisi lived for some years, and an important Etruscan tomb dating back to the 6th century BC. The villa is an excellent starting point for one-day trips to Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Perugia and lake Trasimeno.
The building is surrounded by a garden furnished with outdoor furniture, where lies a swimming pool. The paved patio is furnished with garden furniture as well; here is the barbecue equipment.
In the garden lies also a nice fishpond.
