Description

The villa (sleeping 16) stands in panoramic position atop a hill at the gates of Florence just a few hundred metres from the most important Florentine Medicean villas, famous Etruscan sites, such as the so-called Mula tomb, and the imposing Villa Reale. Immersed in the green Tuscan countryside and surrounded by a garden, the villa was built at the end of the 19th century. The elegant rooms feature terracotta or wood floors and their ceilings are either beamed or decorated with stuccos dating back to the time in which the villa was built. Provided with all modern comforts (satellite TV, hi-fi system, air conditioning in five bedrooms, CD player, wireless Internet connection upon request), the villa features also a swimming pool, situated in the olive grove 80 metres from the building. Around the swimming pool there are sunshades and sun loungers for the guests to relax in the Tuscan sun or to have their breakfast enjoying a breathtaking view of Florence At guests` disposal: toys for children and high chair and cot for babies. Baby-sitting service, taxi service to/from airport and/or railway station or for private excursions to Cinque Terre, Siena Pisa, Lucca, Viareggio, Volterra and San Gimignano upon request. The villa is 2 kilometres from Firenze-Castello railway station, where guests can leave their cars and reach Florence city centre in 10 minutes by train. Alternatively, guests can park their car in the garage in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, in the heart of Florence (upon request at booking). A tennis club and a supermarket with delivery service in the neighbourhood.


Accommodation

The villa (8 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) spreads out over three floors. The ground floor is composed of a dining room with pietra serena fireplace, the kitchen, equipped with oven, microwave oven, fridge and freezer, the living room with satellite TV and hi-fi system, leading to a wonderful panoramic terrace with wide pergola, 4 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bathtub and 1 bathroom with shower. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor and to the tower, divided into a reading room, 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower. A pietra serena staircase leads from the ground floor to the bright lower level of the villa, which follows the slope of the hill. This floor is composed of a laundry-ironing room, 2 twin-bedded rooms and 1 bathroom with shower.

The villa is provided with satellite TV, air conditioning in five bedrooms, heating system, CD player, hi-fi system, iron and ironing board, washing machine, high chair and cot for babies and toys for children.
