Description

The complex (20+11 sleeping accommodations in total) consists in ancient houses divided in six apartments and is situated in a hamlet atop a hill in Valdichiana, close to Montepulciano, in the province of Siena. The houses date back to the 18th century and in origin they formed a monastery. The complex overlooks the wonderful Tuscan countryside and the gentle hills covered with vineyards and olive groves. A magnificent garden surrounds the buildings; here lies the swimming pool, furnished with sunshades and sunloungers; in the garden there is also the barbecue equipment. Each apartment disposes of a private area furnished for eating outdoor.

The complex stands in an area rich not only in beauties of nature but also in art and culture. Famous towns, such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona and Montalcino, and important cities of art, such as Siena and Arezzo, lie within easy car distance.

The complex is also the ideal accommodation for those who love oeno-gastronomic tourism: in fact, this is the area in which famous wines, such the Nobile di Montepulciano and the Brunello di Montalcino, and excellent cheeses, such as the renowned pecorino di Pienza, are produced.

In the neighbourhood there are also riding stables, a tennis and a golf club.

Recently renovated and provided with all comforts, the six apartments present the typical element of Tuscan rural architecture: terracotta-tiled and wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta-tiled floors, internal brick archways and walls in delicate pastel colours. One of the apartments disposes of a large kitchen, where guests can have their meals all together.


Accommodation

The complex (9 double bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms, 5 double sofa beds, 1 single sofa bed and 10 bathrooms) is divided into six apartments. Guests can rent the whole complex or the single apartments.

Apartment 1 (4+2 sleeping accommodations): situated on the ground floor, consists in fully equipped kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with shower and 1 bathroom with bathtub. The apartment disposes of a large kitchen, where guests can have their meals all together, and of a private veranda.
Apartment 2 (5+1 sleeping accommodations): lies on the first floor and is composed of fully equipped kitchen, living room with single sofa bed, 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and 2 bathrooms with shower. The apartment is provided with air conditioning in the bedrooms and disposes of a private balcony. It is a two-storey apartment provided with internal staircase.
Apartment 3 (4+2 sleeping accommodations): it is on the ground floor and composes of fully equipped kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower. The apartment disposes of an outdoor private area. The living room and one of the bedrooms are provided with air conditioning.
Apartment 5 (3+2 sleeping accommodations): is on the first floor and composes of fully equipped kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, 1 double bedroom, 1 room with French-size bed and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment disposes of a private outdoor area on the ground floor and is provided with air conditioning.
Apartment 6 (2+2 sleeping accommodations): lies on the ground floor and consists in fully equipped kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment disposes of a private portico.
Apartment 7 (2+2 sleeping accommodations): it is on the first floor and composes of fully equipped kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment disposes of a private outdoor area on the ground floor and is provided with air conditioning.


Facilities

All apartments are provided with central heating, satellite TV, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave oven, toaster, American-style coffee maker, mixer, iron and ironing board and hairdryer.
At guests` disposal: swimming pool furnished with sunloungers and sunshades and barbecue equipment.

Restaurants, cafes, banks, the post office, grocers`, supermarkets, shops and the bus station are in Montepulciano, 5 kilometres from the apartments. The nearest railway stations are in Sinalunga (12 km) and Chiusi (25 km).
