The famous composer Giacomo Puccini bought Villa Puccini in Torre del Lago in 1898. The building stands by the lake Massaciuccoli, where Puccini loved to meet with his friends.

Like in other occasions, Puccini himself collaborated with the architects Luigi De Servi, Plinio Nomellini and Galileo Chini, his friends, on the project for the reconstruction of the villa, after the original building had been demolished.

The simple and austere architectural forms of the exterior are in contrast with the eclecticism dominating in the richly decorated interior.

A iron and glass bow-window links the building to the garden, whose flower borders decorated with stones is reminiscent of a Japanese garden.
