Description

The farmhouse stands 600 metres above sea level in proximity to Montevarchi (Arezzo) in Valdarno, and enjoys a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside. In the origin a typical Tuscan barn, the house is furnished with old furniture that the owners have restored in their workshop.

The building lies in an estate of about 2 hectares including an oak and chestnut wood and an olive grove. Guests can stroll in the whole estate and pick fruit and chestnuts. In November guests can participate in the olive harvest, upon request.

The house is at the border among the provinces of Arezzo Siena and Florence and is an excellent departure point for visiting the whole Chianti region, Siena and the Crete Senesi, Arezzo Cortona, Pienza Florence and other towns in central Italy. Shopaholics can visit the outlet villages that lie within a few kilometres.


The Outdoors

In the garden, about 15 metres from the building, is the private swimming pool (3x8 m; depth: 1.20 m), open from May to September and furnished with deck chairs and sun loungers.

A patio is furnished with table and chairs. Here are also the barbecue equipment and the equipment for playing darts.


Accommodation

The house is a two-storey building; it sleeps 3+2 people in 1 triple bedroom and 1 double sofa bed, and has 2 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of living room with kitchenette, sitting room with double sofa bed and a bathroom with shower.

On the first floor are a bedroom with double bed and a single bed and a bathroom with shower.

A cot bed can be added in the sitting room upon request.


Facilities

The house is provided with private swimming pool, barbecue equipment, washing machine, cot bed, table football table, darts equipment and private car park.

Two mountain bikes are available for guests to explore the surroundings.

Lunches, dinners and cooking lessons are organized upon request.


Services

A food shop, a cafe and the post office are in Moncioni, about 3 kilometres from the estate.
Shops and services of any kind are in Montevarchi (10 km) and San Giovanni Valdarno (15 km).
On Saturdays mornings a weekly street market is held in the historic centre of San Giovanni Valdarno.
