Description

The casale is located within an estate of about 40 hectares situated in Pieve Santo Stefano, a small village in the province of Lucca, just 25 kilometres from the beaches of Viareggio and Versilia. Lucca historic centre and the most important Tuscan cities of art are within easy car reach. Situated in panoramic position, the casale overlooks the valley below. In clear days, the famous Lucca city walls are to be seen in the distance. Nature lovers can have wonderful walks and bike rides on Lucca hills.

The casale composes of two buildings for a total of three apartments. The three apartments have an independent entry and terracotta-tiled floors.


The Outdoors

The buildings and the garden are surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, and in the estate lies also a pond.

In the lawn (about 1,000 square metres) lies the private swimming pool (6x12 m; depth: 1.40 m), which is partially fenced and equipped with tables, chairs, deck chairs and sunshades. Situated about 30 metres from the buildings, the swimming pool is open from May to October.

In the garden are also a wood-burning oven, the barbecue equipment and the car park.

Each apartment has a portion of garden furnished with table and chairs for eating al fresco. Cottage Gelsomino has also a veranda furnished with table and chairs.


Accommodation

The casale offers 12+4 sleeping accommodations in 3 double-bedded rooms, 2 twin-bedded rooms, 1 supplementary single bed, 1 double sofa bed and 1 armchair bed, and 4 bathrooms.

Apartment Calla (6+1 sleeping accommodations - 3 double-bedded rooms and 2 bathrooms) composes of kitchen, small living room, three double-bedded rooms (one of which is provided with air conditioning) and two bathrooms with shower.
A supplementary single bed can be put in one of the bedrooms.

Cottage Gelsomino (4+1 sleeping accommodations - 2 twin-bedded rooms, 1 single armchair-bed and 1 bathroom) is a two-storey building.
On the ground floor are a large living room with a single armchair-bed and fireplace, and the kitchenette.
The first floor composes of two twin-bedded rooms and a bathroom with bathtub/shower.

Apartment Narciso (2+2 sleeping accommodations - 1 double-bedded room, 1 double sofa bed and 1 bathroom) composes of kitchen, small living room with double sofa bed, one double-bedded room and a bathroom with shower.


Facilities

The casale is provided with swimming pool, private car park, barbecue equipment, wood-burning oven, air conditioning in one of the bedrooms, fireplace, TV set, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

A washing machine and an iron are in the external laundry room.

Guests can buy the olive oil, wine and honey produced in the estate.

Two restaurants are in Pieve Santo Stefano.
Cafés, newsagents`, a supermarket and petrol stations are in San Alessio, 5 kilometres from the casale.
Shops and services of any kind are in Lucca (7 km).
