Description

The farm is situated in a green valley in the countryside north-east of Florence, just about 15 kilometres from the historical centre of Tuscany`s main city. Surrounded by vineyards used for the production of the celebrated Chianti Rufina DOCG wine, the farm is the ideal accommodation for those who dream of relaxing holidays in close contact with nature, but also for those who love art and culture: with its monuments, its churches, its exhibitions and its numerous cultural events, Florence is within a 20-minute car or train ride from the structure.


The Outdoors

A wonderful swimming pool is at guests` disposal, furnished with sun loungers, chairs and tables for spending pleasant hours under the sun. The swimming pool lies in a gorgeous garden rich in fruit and olive trees and sweet-smelling lavender plants and surrounded by a well-tended lawn overlooking the magnificent vineyards around the estate. The swimming pool is open all day long for guests to freely use it.


Accommodation

The farmhouse is divided into six apartments, five of which are at guests` disposal. The apartments have been recently and finely renovated in the classic Tuscan style, using only traditional materials, and are furnished with good taste and provided with all comforts. Each apartment has direct access to the garden and a veranda furnished with table and chairs for eating al fresco.

Apartment FIENILE (sleeps 4+2 - 2 double bedrooms, double sofa bed and 2 bathrooms): it covers a surface of 90 square metres and spreads out over two storeys. Ground floor: living room with double sofa bed and dining room with fully equipped on-sight kitchen. First floor: two double-bedded rooms with ensuite bathroom. The main feature of this apartment is the wonderful balcony on the first floor, overlooking the Chianti hills and furnished with sun loungers and table for having breakfast al fresco.

Apartment GIARDINO (sleeps 4+2 – 2 double bedrooms, double sofa bed and 2 bathrooms): it covers a surface of 75 square metres and composes of dining room with fully equipped on-sight kitchen and living room with double sofa bed, a double-bedded room with ensuite bathroom, a twin-bedded room and a bathroom with shower.

Apartment LOGGIA (sleeps 6 - 2 double bedrooms, double sofa bed and 2 bathrooms): with its 100 square metres, it is the largest of the five apartments and is divided into living room and dining room with fully equipped on-sight kitchen, two double-bedded rooms (one with private bathroom), a room with a double sofa bed and a bathroom with shower.

Apartment TORRETTA (sleeps 5+2 - 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with three beds, double sofa bed and 2 bathrooms). The apartment spreads over two storeys and covers a surface of 90 square metres. The ground floor composes of dining room with on-sight kitchen and living room with double sofa bed. The first floor is divided into a double-bedded room with ensuite bathroom, a bedroom with three single beds and a bathroom with shower. The tower offering a magnificent vista over the Florentine Chianti hills is the main feature of the apartment. The private outside area on a wonderful terrace overlooks a wide vineyard.

Apartment LIMONAIA (sleeps 5+2 - 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 single bedroom, double sofa bed and 1 bathroom). The apartment is on the ground floor and covers a surface of 90 square metres. It composes of a large dining room with on-sight kitchen, a living room with fireplace, a double-bedded room, a twin-bedded room, a single bedroom (with super-single bed), a small living room with double sofa bed and a bathroom with shower.


Facilities

Each apartment is equipped with TV set, DVD player, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and Wi-Fi Internet connection.

The famrhouse comes with swimming pool and private car parking place.

The farmhouse offers optional services for which additional charges apply: shuttle service with Santa Maria Novella railway station and both Florence and Pisa airports, tourist guide service, museum reservation service, guided tours to Frescobaldi wineries, lunch and dinner catering service, cooking lessons, organization of wedding ceremonies and business dinners. Guests are granted discounts at the restaurant MammaMia, in the centre of Florence.

Shops and services are in the nearby village called Sieci (1.5 km) and in Pontassieve (5.5 km).

Just a few kilometres from the farmhouse are a riding stable and a lake for sport fishing.
