Description

The farmhouse Radicofani (11+2 sleeping accommodations) is a typical Tuscan country residence situated only 3 kilometres from the historical small town of Radicofani, renowned for its fortress dominating the wonderful Val d`Orcia. Thanks to its position, it is the ideal accommodation for spending some hours in the spas in Bagno Vignoni and Chianciano Terme and for visiting the fascinating towns, such as Pienza and Montepulciano, rich in history and wineries where to taste excellent the wines and cheeses produced in Val d`Orcia.

The farmhouse is situated along the Via Francigena, which lead the ancient pilgrims (who loved to rest in this peaceful place) to Rome.

The farmhouse is immersed in the unspoilt nature, surrounded by olive groves and an oak wood. A brook flows in the estate, where animals love to quench. It is an excellent accommodation for those who dream of relaxing holidays, far from the noises and stress of everyday life dedicating themselves to trekking and bird-watching or of letting themselves be rocked by the healthy thermal waters in the area.

Devoted to the rediscovery of the ancient and genuine flavour of the Tuscan cuisine, the farm produces organic vegetables and fruit, in the respect of nature.

In the garden dominating the monte Amiata there is a large 6x12-metre swimming pool, furnished with sunloungers and sunshades. The barbecue equipment, a wood-burning oven and outdoor furniture for relaxing and eating in the shade of a century-old oak are at the guests` exclusive disposal.


Accommodation

The farmhouse (4 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom + 2 single sofa beds and 5 bathrooms) is divided into three apartments situated in the main building and an annex.

Apartment Papavero (45 m²): it is on the first floor and is reached through an external staircase. It composes of a kitchen opening on the small covered balcony furnished for eating al fresco, living/dining room with fireplace and single armchair bed, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower.

Apartment Primula (40 m²): it is on the ground floor and is reached through a porch on the front of the building, furnished for eating outdoor. It consists in living/dining room with single armchair bed, small kitchen, 1 double bedroom with supplementary single bed and 1 bathroom with shower.

Apartment Viola (60 m²): it is on the ground floor and is reached through a porch on the front of the building, furnished for eating al fresco. It composes of dining/living room with kitchenette, fireplace, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin-bedded room and 1 bathroom with bathtub.

La Casina (40 m²): is detached from the main building and situated in the oak wood, just a few metres from the brook. It consists in a living room with kitchenette furnished with ancient handcrafted Tuscan pieces of furniture, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower.

In the main building there is a laundry room furnished with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Close to the main building there is an annex consisting of a kitchen, a dining room sitting up to 15 people and a bathroom, where the guests can gather and eat together.


Facilities

Swimming pool, barbecue equipment, wood-burning oven for cooking pizza, satellite TV, laundry room and cooling fans are at guests` disposal.
