On Easter Sunday, takes place the "scoppio del carro" (explosion of the cart). On June 24th, spectacular fireworks set off from Piazzale Michelangelo remind that it is Saint John`s (Florence patron saint) day. On September 7th, you have the "Festa della Rificolona". The "Capodanno fiorentino" (Florence New Year`s Day) is celebrated on March 25th, and on July 26th is Saint Ann`s day.

In short, the calendar of feasts and events in Florence is really rich. And you can follow all of these traditional events live if you rent an apartment in Florence historic centre. Not to speak of those events that fuel the so-called business tourism and attract hundreds of professionals from all over Italy and the world.

In January and at the beginning of the summer it is fashion time (for more information, read the following chapter of this guide to Florence); in April, you have the "Mostra Internazionale dell`Artigianato" (an important international crafts show); in May takes place "Terra Futura", especially dedicated to local governing bodies; and in October-November there is "Buy Tourism Online".

A business travel could then become an occasion for spending a weekend or a holiday week in Florence Renting an apartment in one of its districts could be an excellent idea: you could do like you were staying in your own home. You get up in the morning; have your breakfast in the nearest cafe and, in the evening, you go at the restaurant with your family.
