Visiting Florence

How much does it take to visit Florence without missing any of the masterpieces it houses?
It depends on what you would like to see and do during your holidays.

However, you can choose among various possible solutions: from a long weekend (3 or 4 days) in a rented apartment in Florence to a one-or-more-week stay in one of the many villas on the hills around Florence

The former could prove to be the perfect solution for those young couples who want to spend a romantic weekend by the Arno. This short trip could include a visit to the Uffizi Gallery and to Palazzo Vecchio (we advise you to book in advance), an evening at Teatro della Pergola or a dinner at Teatro del Sale (where you can have a nice time while eating typical Tuscan dish).

The latter could be an excellent solution for large families who are spending their holidays with relatives and friends. Divided in groups, you could spend a day at the park of the Cascine or stroll among the armours exhibited at Stibbert museum with your children, while the adults admire Michelangelo`s David at the Gallerie dell`Accademia.
But you could also go into Florence countryside and visit Fiesole, Borgo San Lorenzo, Rufina...

One thing is certain: however short or long your stay in Florence may be, you will be spellbound by its beautiful historic centre (a World Heritage Site since 1982), its nice inhabitants and its excellent cuisine and wine!
