Description

The luxurious villa stands on a bluff in southern Tuscany, near Orbetello (Grosseto), in Maremma. In origin the building was a sighting tower erected around the year 1000 to protect the promontory, which at that time was in the hands of the Aldobrandeschis, from Saracen invasions. Many Etruscan-Roman archaeological finds have been found in the area of the villa.

Surrounded by the nature beauties of the Parco della Maremma, the villa enjoys a stunning view of Mount Argentario promontory, Porto Santo Stefano, Talamone, the hills of the Parco Naturale dell`Uccellina and the islands of Giglio, Giannutri and Montecristo.

Some scenes of the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" were shot in the tower.
The tower is also an excellent location for celebrating weddings in a sumptuous and spellbinding setting.


The Outdoors

The agave plants that trim the driveway from the entrance gate to the villa create an exotic and romantic atmosphere.
Around the tower stretch the wide fully fenced garden and two terraces. One of them has been converted into a wonderful belvedere furnished with sofas and sun loungers.
The private swimming pool (4x6 m; depth: 1.20 m) lies on a terrace commanding the sea about 60 metres from the villa.
The villa has also a private access to the sea.


Accommodation

The villa sleeps in total 12 people in 4 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms, and has 6 bathrooms.
On the ground floor are the fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with fireplace and three bedrooms with ensuite bathroom (one with a shower, one with a bathtub and the third with both a shower and a bathtub).
The first floor composes of a large air-conditioned living room with a fireplace and a dining table sitting eight. The living room opens onto a panoramic balcony divided into a dining area and a relax corner with sun loungers and deck chairs.
A small stairway on the ground floor leads to the sighting tower, which has two floors.
The lower floor consists in a bedroom with fireplace, whereas on the upper flower are a living room, a dressing room and a small bathroom with shower.

In the annex adjacent to the villa (and open only for groups of 12 people) are a living room and two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower.

The villa is equipped with swimming pool, barbecue, working fireplace, air conditioning, ceiling fans, Internet connection, satellite TV, DVD player, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and private car parking place.
A baby sitter, a cook and maid and breakfast services are available upon request.

A riding stable is 2 kilometres from the estate.
A golf club is 10 kilometres from the property.
