Description

The villa is situated in Scarlino, a small medieval village in the Tuscan Maremma, in the province of Grosseto. The villa stands on a hill and is just 7 kilometres from the wonderful sandy beaches of the Maremma, which Legambiente has more than once awarded with its "blue flag", and the green pinewoods of Follonica and offers a breathtaking view of the gulf of Follonica.

The building is surrounded by a fenced garden in which lies the private swimming pool (16x6 m - maximum depth 2.30 m), equipped with springboard and night and underwater lighting. The surrounding solarium area is equipped with sunloungers, a wooden shelter and a shower with hot water. For the guests` privacy, a ring-wall surrounds the swimming pool on three sides.

The villa is an excellent starting point for excursions to Calaviolina, one of the most beautiful Italian beaches, Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala and Baratti, as well as to Pitigliano, Sorano and Massa Marittima, small towns rich in findings dating back to the Etruscan times. Important Tuscan cities of art, such as San Gimignano Siena Pisa and Florence are within easy car reach. Easily reached for one-day excursions are also the islands of Elba and Giglio.

In the course of year, many feasts are organized in the neighbourhood of the villa, offering the possibility of tasting cheeses, salami, sausages, sweets, cakes and other typical products.


Accommodation

The villa (4 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom + double sofa bed and 4 bathrooms) spreads out over three levels.
On the ground floor are a wide living room with dining area, the kitchen, 1 double bedroom, an ante-bathroom and 2 bathrooms (one with whirlpool bathtub).
A winding staircase leads to the first floor, consisting in 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 bathroom. The first floor is reached also from the garden.
On the second floor, which is reached through a winding staircase, are an open space with a double bed, provided with air conditioning and 1 bathroom with bathtub.

The villa is provided with swimming pool with springboard, car park, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, barbecue, washing machine, dishwasher, iron, electric oven and hair dryer.

Supermarket, the post office, a bank, the chemist`s, restaurants and any kind of shops and services are in Scarlino, 5 kilometres from the villa.
